How is Aadhar useful?

Your Aadhar card is mandatory to avail of financial, private, or government subsidies and benefits. Aadhar is considered a centralised and universally accepted document across India for every Indian citizen. The 12-digit Aadhar number has become a mandate to use any government service or benefit.

As it has biometric and demographic data, it is a genuine way to verify your identity and avail yourself of various government schemes.

Aadhar Card and Jan Dhan Yojana

The government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) in 2014. Under this scheme, every Indian citizen can open a bank account for financial transactions. People below the poverty line can enjoy several subsidies in addition to insurance, loans, pensions, and other remittances.

Aadhar and Housing Loans

The government of India’s Housing for All by 2022 scheme promotes affordable housing for the economically weaker sections. It offers lower interest rates so that people can again apply for credit. However, in order to avail of the discount, you should have a valid Jan Dhan account.
